These H&W Cranes started it all. I'm not sure what it was about the Belfast Shipyards, it could've been how the yellow and cranes stood out so brightly against their near monochromatic surrounding, maybe it was how it so encapsulated the blight of industrialization, or it could be the the bittersweet history of the yards (the Titanic was built here), but really, it's just because the H&W cranes looked liked like swing sets, with out the swings.
